“Marisa joins Paper at a pivotal time,” said Martina Tam, CEO of Paper. “Our GROW high-impact tutoring programs are driving measurable gains in student learning, and our new AI tools are expanding what’s possible in academic support. With Marisa’s leadership, we’re excited to deepen our district partnerships and scale our impact to reach even more students and educators.”

“Districts need partners who understand their challenges and can deliver results,” said Burkhart. “What drew me to Paper is its clear focus on outcomes and its ambitious vision for the future of learning. I’m excited to partner with educators to drive measurable gains for the students who need it most.”
